JIB Membership Survey 2023: Let us know what your membership means to you

The 2023 JIB Membership Survey will be launched in October and will enable JIB members to have their say on what JIB membership means to them, what they view as the main benefits, and the improvements they would like to see.

In the 2022 survey almost 90% of members said JIB membership makes them feel valued, while the enhancement of their company’s profile, the JIB’s reputation for investing in people, and its effective ‘one stop’ HR solution were given as the three main reasons companies value the JIB.

Members also expressed a desire to see more promotion of the JIB and its members, an expansion of market, industry and legislative updates, and greater member engagement.

The JIB has acted on these views by increasing its marketing activity to attract new companies by speaking at key industry events such as Elex Show and UK Construction Week. A member toolkit has been developed aimed at helping employers explain and promote the JIB benefits to its employees but also support members with procurement and other business-related challenges. It has also hosted webinars and produced case studies demonstrating how Private Medical Insurance can help businesses protect their employees.

Ongoing engagement with members and non-members has continued with the JIB Forums. The forum held in London in June 2023 focused on social value and procurement welcomed 25 guests and received positive feedback. The next forum is scheduled for 25 October 2023 with the key themes being apprenticeships and routes into the electrotechnical sector.

Ahead of the survey, Roger Horne, Head of Membership at the JIB, said: “It is clear from previous Membership Surveys that member engagement and better promotion of the JIB and its benefits are high priorities among members and we have responded to this by doing our best to raise our profile and assist our members in clearly highlighting the benefits of JIB membership to both employees and potential clients. Don’t miss your chance this year to tell us what we’re doing well and the areas in which we could be performing stronger.”
