ADF Group

ADF Group, based in Stoke-on-Trent in the West Midlands was established more than 10 years ago to provide a wide range of construction services in commercial, industrial, and residential projects. Within the ADF Group is ADF Electrical Services where all operatives are City and Guilds certified, JIB Approved electricians – who are proud to carry their ECS cards. ADF Electrical Services carry out work in education, healthcare, and public service sectors and are a NICEIC approved, MCS, Safe contractor and RECC affiliated business.

All our staff at ADF Electrical Services are very important to our future. We are affiliated with the JIB which ensures the staff have avenues to private healthcare, agreed wage rates, legal help and employee benefits. We are a CITB member and spend many hours putting our staff through First aid, site safety and professional training courses with C&G and the NICEIC. We have 3 apprentices, all of them are on their way to becoming rounded electricians. We as a business invest heavily in training and growth for our apprentices.

Being a JIB member is important in creating a stable workforce, where there are no mysteries on employee standards and pay related questions – its clear and allows us to look forward as a team. Most companies we work for value us being a JIB member because it means we are showing responsibility as an employer, to make sure employment standards are at the highest level possible. We are able to use dispute resolution services, the skills development fund for training and keeping our staff happy and healthy with the BUPA employee benefit.

Being a JIB member is truly a halfway house between the employer and employee, the whole reason it was created. Our staff can draw on benefits of being a member as much as we can as an employer. Being a JIB member means there can be a clear path for the staff on where their development in training and salary can go. We value the benefits that the JIB membership provides our employees – in particular the fair wage structure, sick pay and private medical insurance. We are proud to be a JIB company.

“Early in my career I worked for a company which was a member of the JIB. I learned the value of being aligned with the trade union movement and prioritising the welfare of staff over the corporate mentality of simply chasing profit. As the owner of a company today I have ensured that JIB membership is a cornerstone of ADF Electrical and ADF Group identity.

It would be easy to let profit margins take the front seat and overlook the well-being of my team but for me, the choice is clear. I’m proud to be a JIB member, and even prouder to offer a structure that ensures my staff not only have their rights but can stand tall and be counted.” – Ash Findler, Managing Director, ADF Electrical Services Ltd.
