Courses Funded by the Skills Development Fund

You may apply for funding for these courses:

HNC e.g. Electrical and Electronic Engineering

ONC (e.g. Building Services Engineering)

Experienced Worker Assessments (to achieve ECS gold card) in the following occupations:

– Installation, Maintenance or Domestic Electrician

– Fire, Emergency and Security Systems (FESS)

– Network Infrastructure Installation

– Panel Wiring

– NVQ Level 3 Cabling or LV Jointing, or NET LV Jointer Assessment

Level 4 Design and Verification of Electrical Installations

BTEC National Certificates

Level 3 qualification in Fire Detection and Alarms Systems in the Workplace (e.g. BS5839-1)

High Voltage Operation and Safety

Electrician+ approved Low Carbon qualifications at Level 3 including:

Solar Photovoltaic Systems Installation or Maintenance

Electric Vehicle Charging Installation or Maintenance

Electrical Energy Storage Systems

Level 3 Award / NVQ Level 3 Heat Pump Installation

You may apply for the Paul Corby Bursary to study:

BSc/BA or Foundation Degree in a relevant subject

Masters Level Degree in relevant subject

The following course are not eligible for funding under the scheme:

AM2 / AM2S / AM2D / AM2E

BS7671 (Latest Edition of the Wiring Regulations)

CompEx courses

Inspection and Testing (e.g. C&G 2391/2394/2395)

IOSH / NEBOSH / SSSTS / SMSTS or other H&S certificates
