ECS Check for Employment Businesses (previously known as the Industrial Information Service) provides a facility where Employment Businesses can verify the gradings for electrical operatives who hold a JIB Grade or appropriate card under the Electrotechnical Certification Scheme (ECS).
It also permits Employment Businesses to supply labour to JIB member companies under National Working Rule 17.
If you are an employment business and would like to use this ECS Check service, you will have to register with the JIB and pay an annual subscription fee, more details can be found here on the ECS website. You can download a subscription application form here and the terms and conditions here.
