Digital Skills for the Future: Essential Updates for JIB member companies

The webinar will discuss cyber readiness and will provide further information on the benefits for JIB members and how the JIB can assist with upskilling for digital roles together with an update on certification routes to the Digital suite of ECS cards. You will also hear from CompTIA (Computing Technology Industry Association), a leading non-profit Global trade association that issues professional certifications for the information technology (IT) industry and plays a crucial role in the Digital industry by providing certifications, training, advocacy, research, and community support.

Speakers:

Andy Reakes
Director of Growth and Development, JIB & ECS
Andy’s role is focused on the strategic development of the JIB with particular regard to the Electrotechnical Certification Scheme (ECS). Andy is experienced in a number of core areas with operational oversight and strategic influence in business development, industrial relations, marketing, charity administration, investigating malpractice, data protection and intellectual property rights.
Andy sits as Secretary to the JIB Skills Development Fund Committee and the ECS Steering Committee and is part of various groups relating to competence and skills across the sector.

Roger Horne
Head of Membership, JIB
Roger is responsible for all aspects of JIB member recruitment and retention, including developing membership marketing activities.
Alongside his wide-ranging membership recruitment and retention experience, Roger has a significant business development track record of over 20 years in the employment and skills sector including tendering for public sector funded contracts and partnership working with social housing and devolved authorities.

Zeshan Sattar
Senior Industry Relations Director, EMEA, CompTIA
Zeshan works with a range of stakeholders to develop programmes that equip professionals with the skills needed for today’s dynamic job market. He has previously worked across various technical roles, from the service desk to a systems administrator responsible for architecting and monitoring secure networks for digital-first organisations.
Zeshan is based in the UK and works with various government organisations to design and implement programmes that help individuals begin and grow their careers in technology. Zeshan represents CompTIA at several bodies, including the UK Cyber Security Council and the SFIA Council.
