Do you want to find out more about apprenticeships and the various routes into the electrotechnical centre? Join the JIB for its latest Forum on Wednesday 25 October 2023 at the Goldsmiths’ Centre.
The event will be hosted and chaired by Jay Parmar and will feature four leading voices from the industry giving their perspective on this important issue.
Ruth Devine, Chair of The Electrotechnical and Skills Partnership (TESP), will provide insights and data from the Pye & Tait LMI report published earlier this year, before Chris Claydon, CEO at JTL, discusses the complex funding, challenging targets and requirements around retention, completion and success to deliver government funded training.
Chris Oldham, Senior Policy and Programme Manager, City of London Corporation, will speak about the challenges of bringing in apprentices, up-skilling and re-skilling to meet the needs of an ageing workforce and skills shortages, and Sam Walker, Estimating & Design Engineer at Darke & Taylor, will finish off by sharing the experience of being an employer recruiting, training, retaining and employing apprentices.
Afterwards there will be a chance to discuss the issues of the day further in a Q&A panel discussion that will be chaired by Jay Parmar.
The event will end with lunch and networking. We hope you can join us in what promises to be an educational morning with some great take aways for your organisation, as well as a fantastic opportunity to network with colleagues over lunch at an iconic venue.
