The JIB Resolution Procedure is a free, voluntary, and confidential service to support the resolution of individual and collective issues. It encourages early intervention through conciliation and mediation to support constructive and meaningful solutions. Following a period of review, the Procedure has been streamlined to ensure alignment with legislation whilst providing a more user-friendly process for dealing with disputes. This webinar will outline the new Procedure and the benefits it brings for JIB member companies.

Speakers
Andy Reakes – Director of Growth and Development, JIB & ECS
Andy’s role is focused on the strategic development of the JIB with particular regard to the Electrotechnical Certification Scheme (ECS). Andy is experienced in a number of core areas with operational oversight and strategic influence in business development, industrial relations, marketing, charity administration, investigating malpractice, data protection and intellectual property rights.
Andy sits as Secretary to the JIB Skills Development Fund Committee and the ECS Steering Committee and is part of various groups relating to competence and skills across the sector.
Catherine Watt – Head of Employee Relations, ECA
As the Head of Employee Relations for ECA, Catherine leads and acts as the principal contact for the JIB collective agreement on behalf of employers. Catherine chaired the working group to review and modernise the resolution process. She has over 20 years of experience in Employee Relations within unionised organisations, holds MCIPD qualifications and is a member of the JIB National Board.
Jason Poulter – National Officer Construction Sector, Unite
Jason was appointed Unite National Officer for the Mechanical & Electrical business stream within the construction sector in 2022. This responsibility covers various National Agreements for the Electrical, Mechanical and Engineering Construction industries, encompassing tens of thousands of Unite members. In addition, Jason more recently agreed to cover National responsibilities for the membership at Hinkley Point C, Sizewell C and HS2 for instance and for members under further Agreements such as the Construction Industry Joint Council (CIJC) and Building and Allied Trades Joint Industrial Council (BATJIC) amongst many others. Jason is a member of the JIB National Board, Management Committee and Employee Relations Committee.
